Woohoo!

I received an email yesterday with the following:

"Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued"

Very exciting! Am yet to receive my passport, but hopefully it will be back with me this week or early next. I'm not a fan of not having it with me.

So yesterday and today has been spent cruising about www.gumtree.com and www.easyroommate.com having a look at flats, areas, prices etc. There have been emails backwards and forwards with a couple of places/people who look promising so hopefully things will work out there.

Also received my paperwork today to start sorting out a bank account and national insurance number. Will have those off as soon as I get my little blue book back so hurry up Air Express!

It's all starting to feel real and I'm very, very excited!!

Booked plane tickets

Still to do:
Get visa + passport back from consulate
Book domestic US flight
Book couple of nights in San Fran
Book domestic Aus flight
Book night in hotel prior to flying out
Arrange piss up in Sydney with awesome TTers
Figure out clothes
